Episode 47 we chose for our Featured Artist on the podcast “In Depths” from the UK. This band shared with us their music to share with the listeners and are a definite worth while look up for any fan of metal, hard rock, and even maybe a little brutality in their music. These guys rule for a couple of reasons… one brutal but beautiful, these songs have a great hook catch to them but still maintain a dark brutality that any heavy metal fan craves in their songs, but the best thing is the fact that these guys take so many different influences and it shows in their music, it has stylings unlike any other and are truly very unique but still killer. We collected the following info via an email chain and we thank the guys for offering it up to us! Check out the episode to hear the music but more importantly, look up the band and hear the music!
We reviewed the album on the Pod, both hosts found this album to be highly ratable… certified Banana Bread in the unique “Smashed Banana” rating system we use on the HMOA6PACK Podcast.

First Question: One of our favorites, where do you guys draw inspiration for your music? Idols, heroes, etc
1. In terms of our influences, were influenced by many different genres not just metal, these include Rap, Funk, Latin, Blues & Jazz just to name a few & you can hear a lot of these influences in the album Devil In the Deep.
In terms of our metal influences bands like Black Tounge, Emmure, King 810, Tool & Lotus Eater to name a few & seeing success from from fellow underground talents such as This is Turin influences & encourages us massively.
Vocally I take a lot of inspiration from the above mentioned bands but I also like to explore bands such as Signs of the Swarm, Shadows of Intent & amazing vocalists like Dickie Allen as I personally love blending that guttural brutal vocal with the raw aggression of screaming.
Second Question: Lot of powerful titles and lyrics to your songs, what drove the music and how it was written?
2. Liam our old vocalist was the driving force behind a lot of our lyrics & song titles, he drew inspiration from events & experiences in his own life & he know he holds his lyrics very dear & personal to him, I took over on the vocals in October & I am hoping I can carry the torch for him drawing inspiration from experiences in my own life to create sincere, emotional & raw lyrics with hard hitting titles.
Third and final question: Thoughts on your music video for "Drown The Rat" how the creation of it came to be and thoughts on the final product?
3. With the video we wanted it to be as dark and hellish as the track itself, we had a lot of help from Cantey at Dark North Media and came out with what we deem to be not short of a masterpiece. It's everything we need it to be and says what we need it to say.
Abandoned houses & black war paint is always gonna be cool in metal & I mean, who doesn't like a real pigs head surrounded by occult imagery & candles.
Like, Share, Listen, Repeat…. Cheers!
